Veterinary Hospital Open House:

 Experiencing the "Behind the Scenes Magic" of a Veterinary Hospital in action.
 
   


In May we our annual Open House and Pet Fair!  Visitors throughout the day enjoyed the numerous displays from vendors on Pet Products and services.  There were free samples available from many of the vendors.  We also held a Raffle to benefit pets in need of critical care, with participants winning pet prize packs specific for Small, Medium and Large dogs, and for our feline friends.  There were also drawings for Pet Grooming services, Pet Portraits, and Pet Veterinary Services.

Throughout the day the hospital provided "Behind the Scenes" tours, letting people experience and understand some of the "Magic Behind Veterinary Medicine".



We wish to thank all of the vendors that participated, and for the people who came and shared in the fun.


Officer Martin and his partner "Geno" came in the afternoon and explained how Police Dogs are used in many different ways.

 












Officer Martin explained the various activities and assignments that he and his "Partner" participate in and answered numerous questions from attendees.  This was a fascinating look at the life and career of a Police Dog team.




 





 







 

 


We had a "Puppy Bounce House, which proved to be a popular attraction!

 

 

 




The Staff sure seemed to enjoy!!








And so did many of our younger visitors.




 

 

 

The Deli Buffet offered sandwiches, snacks and desert,
making a nice day for a picnic in the park

 Throughout the day pet owners were offered the opportunity to explore a "State of the Art" veterinary hospital.  They discovered how our computerized medical records system allows the Dr. and her Staff to access medical records from anywhere in the hospital.  This advanced system also can track a patients progress with digital photo's, graphical charting on diagnostic laboratory testing, and trends on blood chemistry factors.

A common comment, "I didn't realize how much goes into veterinary medicine".
